Robert D. Blau, Esq.

Robert has been involved in real estate valuation litigation in New Jersey since 1983, first as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Department of Law and then in private practice where he has concentrated on real estate tax appeals and condemnation. He has appeared before the New Jersey Superior Court, the New Jersey Appellate Division, the New Jersey Supreme Court, the New Jersey Tax Court, the Federal District Court and Bankruptcy Court, as well as most of the 21 county boards of taxation.

Eileen W. Toll, Esq.

Eileen represents owners of single family homes, multi-family apartment buildings and complexes, retail, office, industrial properties and vacant land in challenging property tax assessments throughout New Jersey. She has also represented municipalities in defense of tax appeals. She has litigated matters involving all phases of property tax appeals and regularly appears before the Tax Court of New Jersey and the various County Boards of Taxation. 

Thomas Blau, Esq.

Thomas is a licensed attorney in both New Jersey and New York, currently residing in Jersey City, NJ. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, where he graduated in May 2021. During his time at law school, he received the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship for academic excellence and earned a spot on the Dean’s List in both Spring 2020 and Fall 2020. His coursework focused on Trial Advocacy, Real Estate Transactions and Finance, and Landlord-Tenant Law.

Daniel Kanoff, Esq.

Daniel has been an associate at the firm since 2011. He practices in the areas of property tax appeals, eminent domain, and real estate and has appeared before the New Jersey Superior Court, the New Jersey Tax Court, and many of the 21 county boards of taxation.

Thomas Blau, Esq.

Thomas is a licensed attorney in both New Jersey and New York, currently residing in Jersey City, NJ. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, where he graduated in May 2021. Chuck also been awarded the CRE® designation by the Counselors of Real Estate®, an international group of real estate professionals recognized as leading advisors in complex real property matters with approximately 1,000 members world wide.

Besides being an attorney, Chuck was a licensed real estate appraiser and a past National President of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA), headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Chuck has also served on the Appraisal Foundation’s National Education Partnership Task Force and was elected by the Foundation’s Sponsors to the Board of Regents for the Alliance for Valuation Education in Washington, D.C. Chuck also was elected to the real property committee of the American Society of Real Estate Appraisers and has earned the ASA designation.

Chuck is an approved instructor by New Jersey Real Estate Appraisal Board & the New Jersey Division of Taxation and has lectured for the New Jersey Bar Association, New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Essex County Bar Association, Appraisal Institute, NAIFA and the American Society of Appraisers. The New Jersey Law Journal, Wall Street Journal and CNN’s “Smart Assets” television show have interviewed Chuck.
He is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and the Washington College of Law of American University in Washington, D.C.
